Russian embargo: The EU can mobilize non-agricultural sources
Because the European Russian import ban’s affects are not from agricultural sources, the European Union considers to mobilize in order to mitigate the effects – Maurizio Marina, Italian Minister of Agriculture told, after the meeting of the EU’s agricultural ministers.
Martina said that the effort should should be enhanced and the number of initiatives should be multiplied as well, while the market trends must be constantly monitored.
HUngarian Minister of Agriculture Fazekas Sándor told after the meeting that Hungary is moderately affected by the Russian embargo, based on last year's figures. About 30-35 percent of the Hungarian agricultural exports to Russia is involved, in a value of approximately 80 million euros. (Konsiczky Zoltán, MTI)
