Tesco has expanded enormously – it has tripled its selection on foodora
Foodora is further developing its online shopping offer, the product range of Tesco stores available in Hungary through the platform has expanded more than threefold. The number of 63 Tesco stores available on foodora has increased to 88, and the previous three thousand product selection has expanded to nearly ten thousand. Thanks to the expansion, among foodora’s countries, the food chain with the largest selection is available in Hungary. In October, foodora celebrates the expansion with a free delivery promotion for Tesco orders.
From October 1 to October 31, foodora makes online shopping even more convenient with a free delivery campaign. During this period, the delivery fee for all Tesco orders will be waived, regardless of the amount or size of the orders placed. There is still no weight limit for foodora orders – if necessary, the system automatically allocates a car or scooter courier to deliver larger packages. This opportunity was also used by the record customer, whose order weighing 81 kg was handled by the couriers.
We shop after working hours, on weekdays
With the expanding range, foodora and Tesco serve an increasingly wide range of shopping needs. The data shows that the possibility of online weekly shopping frees up the weekend for the majority of users. The peak time for shopping is on Mondays between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., when most people decide to do their weekly shopping from the comfort of their homes. The user who ordered the most ordered on average 23.5 times a month, and the largest amount of shopping was an order of nearly 123,000. Most Tesco orders are usually placed in Budapest, and the highest demand is seen in the 11th, 13th and 17th districts. The capital is followed by Székesfehérvár on the order top list.
