The yields should be processed locally at the Eger wine region
The Ministry of Rural Development supports the Eger wine region, to be a closed wine region in order to improve the quality of wines and the rank of the wine region, but the effects should also be measured, as well as how it will be possible to sell the quantities and how the players meet with the disciplined provisions – Fazekas Sándor said in Eger at a conference, on Tuesday.
At the conference, local stakeholders have revealed that the Eger wine region has a huge growth potential, but this fails to be advantageous, because a lot of grapes and wine are leaving the wine region. Yet, if the yields would be processed locally and high quality bottled wines would be produced, much more income would be generated in the wine region. (MTI)
