Viktor Orbán: pensioners will receive a special card to claim VAT refunds
For the VAT refund, pensioners will receive a special card, which must be validated at the time of purchase; according to the government’s plans, seniors will be able to get a refund of 10-15 thousand forints per month – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced on Facebook on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister reminded in a video posted on his social media page that the government had previously reduced VAT for quite a few products, but the experience was that most of the amount went to commercial networks and not to those for whom it was intended.
