Retail chains have made huge profits on food. We had to intervene, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in a video posted on the Hungarian government’s Facebook page on Sunday.
He added that retail chains have put 42 percent on chicken wings, 55 percent on pork chops, 68 percent on milk, 129 percent on sour cream, and 38 percent on eggs. Cottage cheese 69 percent, yogurt 70 percent.
