The Green Factory group has made a strategic decision to support more efficient regional operations. According to the company, its plant in the village of Tök will cease operations in March 2026. The lost capacity will be supplied by the group’s Gyál and former Eisberg units in Legnica, Poland, ensuring continuous and uninterrupted service to partners.

Efficiency and sustainable growth

The Tök plant was acquired by Green Factory in 2021. The closure of the plant was preceded by a thorough decision-making process. The decision was made by the Green Factory group-level owners and managers to regroup resources to the company group’s Gyál site, which has significant growth potential.

Caring for employees

The company pays special attention to the forty-one people directly affected by the change and all its employees contracted through subcontractors. All colleagues have been informed of the decision, and the management is committed to providing all possible support for the smooth management of the change and to helping individual life paths. In addition, some of the employees have been offered the opportunity to work in Gyál.

Focus on the capacity expansion in Gyál

Green Factory’s strategic goal is to focus all its energy on the new production unit being built in Gyál. This investment is a milestone in the company’s life, as it will enable the doubling of production capacity with the help of the EU tender, increase efficiency with modern, automated technology, and create a stable and long-term foundation for high-quality service to partners.

“After considering key business aspects – including operating costs and necessary investment needs – the international and domestic management unanimously decided to shut down. Our goal is to channel the freed up human and financial resources into our future-oriented development in Gyál,” added Gyula Pál, CEO of Eisberg Hungary Kft. and Green Factory Hungary Kft.

Green Factory is confident that this step will contribute to more efficient operations in the long term and further strengthen the company’s market leadership position in the fresh, packaged salad mixes and salad bowls segment.
