Opten: Hungarian fish farming has started to grow
Following the downturn in 2017, the number of fishing and fish farming businesses has increased as the main activity started to grow last year, while the sector’s total net sales rose to nearly 18 billion HUF, compared to the 16.82 billion HUF of a year before.
In its analysis sent to MTI on Friday, Opten explains the positive results by lowering the value added tax (VAT) on 1 January, 2018.
It was reported that in parallel with the income, the number of employees increased, compared to 2015, 247 more people work in Hungarian fish farms. (MTI)
