Opten: 1184 liquidation proceedings announced in March
Though the number of liquidation orders in Hungary's property industry fell last month, March saw an even greater number of liquidation processes, Opten company information service has reported.
Liquidation proceedings were launched against 1020 companies in February, and 1184 companies in March. This data is still better than the historical increase in the number of liquidation orders in January (1325, to be exact).”Each month in 2009 saw the liquidation of more companies than the same months of the previous year”, Hajnalka Csorbai, strategic director of Open pointed out. According to Opten's data, a total of 11,504 companies were liquidated in 2008, while Opten expects around 17,000 liquidations this year, but Csorba said the final number could be over 20,000.
