Real To Put Up More Self-Service Checkouts in Germany
Metro's Real chain plans to expand the number of stores that house self-service check-out counters, and will introduce the same to 110 of its outlets by the end of the year.
Separately, the company's new „Real Future Store” has
seen sales grow by a double-digit percentage since May. A survey by
AC Nielsen said that nine out of 10 customers are satisfied with the
outlet, which has self-service check-outs, allows customers to pay
using their mobile phones or fingerprints, and has robots guiding
people around the supermarket.
