OMSZ: more drought summers and wetter winters to come
In Hungary, we can expect more droughts in the summer and wetter winters in the future and the intensity of extreme weather events could be higher – Radics Kornélia the president of the National Weather Service (OMSZ) told MTI in connection with the conference against climate change on Thursday in Szeged.
Radics Kornélia told that in Hungary two organizations are dealing with climate modelling: the National Weather Service (OMSZ) and the Eötvös Loránd University’s Department of Meteorology. According to their forecasts a general warming is expected in the country. Each season will be warmer, but most intensively the summer – she added. (MTI)
