OMME: Contact a specialist if you spot a swarm of bees
In the spring and summer, bee swarm sightings increase, and more and more reports are received by the National Hungarian Beekeeping Association (OMME). This is a completely natural phenomenon, but the situation caused by bee swarms can often require professional intervention, OMME warned in a statement sent to Agrokult.hu.

According to the information, the association has made available a list of beekeepers who deal with the capture of bee swarms – for the safety of the population and the bees. The professionals listed on the OMME website (https://www.omme.hu/mehraj-befogas/) undertake to capture the swarms and have the appropriate equipment and expertise to handle such situations. The statement advised not to try to remove the swarm yourself, but to discuss the circumstances and conditions of the capture with the regionally competent beekeeper.
