OMÉK: The Minister believes that schwine strategy will be effective

The implementation of the schwine strategy adopted in the summer has begun, some elements are already in operation. The joint efforts for the development of the pig sector will be effective – Fazekas Sándor, Minister for Rural Development told in Budapest on Friday, at the professional forum of the National Agriculture and Food Fair (OMÉK).

Fazekas Sándor named one of the top results, that the Csabai Sausage is expected to be declared as Hungaricum the next week.
He added that the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (MVH) has begun to transfer the pig welfare payments to the farmers. The annual support increased to7.2 billion HUF, from last year’s 6 billion HUF. (MTI)
