Solar energy can save the bees
In recent years, the number of honeybees and other pollinating insects has declined significantly worldwide due to the use of sprayers, parasites and bee habitat shrinkage due to climate change.
In addition to desirably reducing the use of chemicals for other reasons, new opportunities have recently emerged in the fight against bee mortality.
Researchers have found that the lands surrounding solar power plants often provide the perfect habitat for native plant species, such as prairie or wildflowers, which provide a breeding ground for pollinators. (Major András, portfolio.hu)
