Decreasing optimism in the euro area
The European Commission's preliminary economic sentiment indicator shows a declining confidence in the euro area from January: the index decreased to 106.5 points, below the analysts’ expectations.
Analysts expected that the overall economic sentiment index will reach 106.9 points, compared to the 106.6 points of December. The European Commission publishes a monthly analysis over the assessment of the economic development situation, analyzing the datas of industry, services, and private consumption – reports ProfitLine.hu.
