VAT reduction on milk resulted in cheaper milk
As a result of the VAT reduction on milk, fresh milk is now 4-5 percent cheaper than before. The VAT reduction of the UHT and ESL milk in January this year resulted in a 11-12 percent drop in prices – Istvánfalvi Miklós, chairman of the Milk Product Council said.
The VAT on milk of raw milk and fresh milk has been decreased more than a year ago – it was already apparent that the impact of the VAT reduction would be passed on to consumers. As Istvánfalvi Miklós, Chairman of the Milk Product Council told InfoRadio that the price movement of dairy products follows this. (infostart.hu)
