Eggs are cheaper, compared to the previous years
Eggs are cheaper for the Easter holiday season this year, compared to the previous years. The price of an egg is an average of 28 to 35 HUF depending on the area, while recently there were years when the price exceeded 40 HUF.
Földi Péter, advisor of the Poultry Product Council told MTI on Monday that in Hungary the average weekly purchase is a total of 40 million pieces. During the Easter festive period, this amount increases by about 50 percent. So overall, about 250 to 300 Easter eggs are purchased in Hungary. (MTI)
