Alcohol is cheap in Hungary – according the Eurostat
Last years the alcohol price level was low in Hungary, counting in 27 EU-member states.
According the Eurostat informations in Hungary the price of
alcohol beverages is 77% of EU average, it is the third cheapest in the EU. The
highest prices for alcohol were in Ireland, at 82 per cent over the EU average,
Finland (70 per cent), the UK (52 per cent) and Sweden (45 per cent), while the
cheapest member states in which to become inebriated were Bulgaria, Slovakia,
Hungary and Lithuania at 69, 72, 77 and 79 per cent of the EU average.
