Producer prices in the euro area rose in October
In October, producer prices in the euro area rose by 0.4 percent month-on-month, instead of the expected 0.2 percent month-on-month increase in the euro area. In September, the monthly increase in producer prices was 0.4 percent.
Producer prices in October were 2.0 percent lower than a year earlier after an annual decline of 2.3 percent in September. The market expected a 2.4 percent annual decline in October. Producer prices fell in October for the fifteenth consecutive month on an annual basis in the euro area. (MTI)
