Growth in the euro area slows
According to final data released by the London-based Financial and Economic Reporting Group on Thursday, the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) of the services sector, which dominates the eurozone economy, fell to a six-month low of 54.6 points from 56.4 in September. For the third consecutive month, the sector’s performance slowed and the index fell short of the 54.7 points previously announced and expected by analysts. (MTI)
