The retail sales of the euro area declined in October
Compared to the previous month, retail sales in the euro area declined with the largest extent of the past four years in October – the European Union’s statistical office Eurostat announced on Tuesday.
In October, the seasonally adjusted retail sales declined by 1.1 percent in the 19 member states of the euro area, compared to September. In the 28 Member States of the European Union, the monthly decline was 0.5 percent in October.
In September, the retail sales of the euro area grew by 0.8 percent, while in the EU by 0.2 percent on a monthly basis. (MTI)
