Retail sales in the euro area declined in October
In October, retail sales in the euro area declined sharply in the highest amount of the past ten months – according to the European Union’s statistical office, Eurostat.
In October, the retail trade volume decreased by 0.6 percent in the 19 Member States of the euro area and by 0.4 percent in the 28 Member States of the European Union. In September, retail trade turnover in the euro area decreased by 0.2 percent and in the EU by 0.1 percent. (MTI)
