In October, economic performance in the euro area declined
The euro area economic performance declined in October, following minimal growth in September.
According to preliminary data from a survey conducted by the IHS Markit Institute for Economic Research in London published on Friday, the composite Purchasing Managers ’Index (PMI) compiled by aggregating manufacturing and services data in October was the lowest in four months at 49.4 points after the finalized 50.4 points in September.
