Advance payments of agricultural subsidies will start in mid-October
Amidst the changes in the EU conditions for agricultural subsidies and the market difficulties, all financial assistance will increase in value, so after the conditions for advance payments have been established, the payment of direct subsidies and advances for certain rural development measures will begin on October 16 this year, announced Minister of Agriculture István Nagy.

The head of the department explained that the EU reform of the Common Agricultural Policy brought many changes this year, and compliance with the new regulations meant adaptation and administrative tasks on the part of the farmers. This spring, the stakeholders were able to submit for the first time their claims regarding support titles announced under the new rules in the new system. In view of the numerous changes, recognition and thanks go to the farmers, the chamber farmers who help them, the consultants and those who contribute to the process – stressed István Nagy.
The agricultural administration is aware of the importance of advance payment in the financing practice of Hungarian agriculture
This has been helping to carry out autumn work for many years. This year, all tools that can contribute to alleviating liquidity problems due to market problems and high cost levels are particularly important. The financial resources necessary for advance and partial payments are available, the minister said. According to István Nagy’s information, in addition to the basic support, transfers will also be made through the redistributive support, a new form of support that provides targeted support for small and medium-sized farms. Stakeholders can expect advance payments under the following rights: basic support, redistributive support, production-related subsidies (dairy cows, fattened bulls, ewes, intensive fruit, extensive fruit), as well as rural development subsidies affecting agri-environmental management and ecological management.
