The first autumn seasonal food chain inspection starts on October 16
With the intention of creating a tradition, for the first time this year, dr. Márton Nobilis is the state secretary responsible for the food industry and trade policy. The unusual mustra, coordinated by Nébih, will take place across the country between October 16 and October 29, 2023.
The state secretary emphasized that the target areas of the autumn inspection – in terms of food distribution – are commercial and catering units operating at railway stations, as well as school canteens. Its purpose is for the authority to comprehensively and intensively examine several product ranges typical of the season. Therefore, among other things, the focus is on pumpkin seed oil, and the specialists check the quality of the vegetables and fruits that are particularly characteristic of the season: apples and potatoes, as well as the so-called authentic grape and wine samples corresponding to the place of production, grape variety and vintage. In addition, school canteens and special areas such as the retail trade of veterinary medicinal products and dog breeding are also under scrutiny, the state secretary concluded.
The seasonal mustra is coordinated by Nébih, while the county government offices, district offices and Nébih specialists all contribute to its implementation.
