OKSZ: positive retail sales expected in December
In December, a five percent increase may occur in the value of the year end spendings. In a favorable case, the retail turnover may be up to 840-850 billion HUF, even it can reach the levels before 2008 – told the National Trade Association (OKSZ) to MTI.
In the past three years, retail sales of December decreased by more than 10 percent. The value of retail sales in December 2007 was 888 billion, in 2008 it was 855 billion and in 2009 805 billion HUF.
According to OKSZ; a family spends an average of around 25 thousand HUF for Christmas gifts in 2010 – reports ProfitLine.hu.
