OKSZ: annual decline in retail sales can be 1-2 percent
The International Trade Association and the analyst of Savings Bank calculate with a 1-2 percent retail sales decline this year. According to the Ministry of National Economy, the sales decline in July is in line with regional trends.
According to the Monday release of the Central Statistics Office (KSH), July retail sales volume decreased by 2.6 percent in the first seven months of the year and declined by 1.3 percent, compared to the same period of last year. After the stagnation of June, July sales were 0.4 percent lower than a month before. In the national retail network as well as in mail order and Internet retail in July 731 billion HUF and in the first seven months 4524 billion HUF worth of sales were realized. (MTI)
