OKSZ: The shops in abroad can profit from the chips-tax
According to the National Trade Association (OKSZ); the public health product tax will result in the increase of the black marlket and tax avoidance, while the costumers will purcahse more abroad, especially in border areas.
According to the organization; because the purchasing power is limited, the families will not have more money for consume soft drinks, candies and snacks in a short period of time, so they will spend about the same amount before and after the introduction of the tax. The price of the taxed goods will rise, their sales volume will decrease, which mathes with the health policy objectives – reports MTI.
