OKSZ: consumption will reach last year's level in 2013
This year, the retail consumption will reach last year's level, in the second half, in certain areas it can even exceed it. This prediction is confirmed by the datas of the Central Statistical Office (KSH) – the National Retail Federation (OKSZ) announced on Wednesday.
According to the Wednesday communication of the Central Statistical Office, in May this year, the volume of retail sales increased by 2.2 percent, compared to the same period of the last year, even according to the calendar-adjusted and unadjusted data as well. According to the first adjusted datas, the volume of sales in food retail and food related retail increased by 0.9 percent, in non-food retailing by 1.9 percent, while in fuel retailing sales volumes rose by 5.5 percent.
