Smart shelf system supports sales
Laurel Group is the Hungarian distributor of Symphony EYC, a mobile shelf management system that maps the store and tells where to put a given product, so that it sells the best. István Bessenyei, the owner and managing director of Laurel Group told that the system knows the sizes of products and helps to optimise their placement – this way shelves don’t become crowded and shoppers can pick products comfortably. Based on sales data, the software signals when to place new orders. Symphony EYC now works in close cooperation with Laurel Group. Symphony EYC is entering the Hungarian market with many new products such as systems that support the rapidly spreading Click&Collect services. According to international studies, using Symphony EYC retail systems result in 10-15 percent production capacity increase. By using it, retailers’ stock shortage level went below 1 percent and manufacturers’ turnover grew 9 percent.
