Smart trash bins will be placed in Chengdu
A high-tech trash bin will make its debut at the end of this month in Chengdu, the capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province.
One of the most striking features of the trash bin is that it has an in-built Wi-Fi antenna.
It will also make use of solar energy to operate and is able to store the excess electricity in a battery at the bottom of the trash bin.
Meanwhile, the trash bin is equipped with a GPS function. It can automatically alert the cleaner to clear the rubbish when the garbage in it reaches a certain limit. (MTI)
