The Marriott hotel operator became profitable last year
Marriott International, which operates the world’s largest hotel chain, posted 1.1 billion usd in profit after tax last year. Annual revenue rose 31 percent to 13.86 billion USD.
The company said in the last quarter of last year, the company posted a profit after tax of 468 million USD, or 1.42 USD per share, after a loss of 504 USD per share from 164 million USD of a year before.
In the three months to the end of December, earnings per share excluding one-time items were $ 1.3 USD, exceeding the average of analysts’ expectations of 1 USD. (MTI/Reuters)
