Enterprises employing more women are more profitable too
The latest survey by Regus found that companies that don’t employ women with small children suffer a competitive disadvantage. According to the study, 79 percent of Hungarian firms also agree that firms that don’t employ women with small children miss a great opportunity. Regus asked 19,000 businesspersons in 98 countries. 67 percent of Hungarian businesspersons said working mothers have valuable skills and experience that is needed in the labour market. Other results: 43 percent think that a workplace close to mothers’ homes is a motivating factor for them to work; 60 percent reckon that part time jobs would help women return to the labour market. Katerina Manou, regional director of Regus told that studies prove, enterprises employing more women are more profitable, and added that it is time companies had reconsidered their recruitment policies.
