Summer-kick-off wine and champagne festival on Szabadság Square
The highly successful Wine & Sparkling Wine Festival and Junibor Festival will be held for the 4th time this year at Szabadság tér to showcase and celebrate the rich world of Hungarian and international wines and sparkling wines. The event will take place between 4-9 June 2025. In recent years, the festival has become one of the most popular free events for visitors to Budapest, so it is worth marking it on your calendar now!
During the long Pentecost weekend, outstanding Hungarian wines and sparkling wines will be in the spotlight for six days in the beautiful, green surroundings of Szabadság tér. The event will feature nearly 50 wineries from different wine regions of the country, whose batches and sparkling wine specialties are guaranteed to impress wine lovers. In addition to the pleasant refreshing drinks, the exciting street food offer cannot be missed. However, the Wine & Champagne Festival is not only about gastronomic pleasures, the organizers are also preparing high-quality music programs.
The cooperation between the wine festival and Junibor was established with a common goal, namely the popularization of quality and cultured wine consumption in our country. The Association is a community of winemakers between the ages of 35 and 40, who work together to ensure professional development for the future generation of winemakers. Among the most important goals are the production of lovable wines that are enjoyed by the general public, the development of cultured wine consumption habits and wine culture in their own generation.
As in previous years, participation in the event is free, but in order to consume a drink, it is necessary to purchase the official festival glass. The audience will be able to choose between two types of glasses, premium or exclusive. Festival glasses purchased in previous years can also be used at the event.
Further information and details about the festival program and participating exhibitors will be available soon on the event’s official website and social media platforms.
