New trends when it comes to ice cream
According to the Italian Ice-cream Makers Association, despite the economic crisis, ice cream proves to be a successful product again this summer. The artificial tastes have been replaced by natural ingredients in the cones.
According to the Italian Ice-cream Makers Association, thanks to the good weather, ice cream consumption in Italy has increased by seven percent this spring compared to last year. It is projected that the Italians will spend two and a half billion euros on ice-cream until the end of the year.
The 36 thousand Italian ice cream parlors employ 93 thousand people. The artisan ice cream parlors offer more than six hundred different flavors. (Sárközy Júlia, MTI)
