Lost in redwine
Wine therapy or Vinotherapy is not a new phenomenon. Don’t we know that Cleopatra loved being massaged in wine? So its origins date back to ancient Greco-Roman times.
It is said that the modern version of wine therapy first appeared in France, in the Bordeaux region when Mathilde Cathiard, the daughter of the owner of the Chateau Smith Haut-Lafitte vineyard, came up with the idea of using the grape in the same way that thalassotherapy and thermal spa treatments use water, mud, herbs and aromatic oils.
