Nutella Plant-Based: the world-famous spread is now available in a vegan version
Ferrero has launched Nutella Plant-Based, a vegan version of one of the world’s most famous peanut spreads. The product is completely plant-based, making the classic Nutella experience accessible to vegans.
The new recipe uses plant-based ingredients such as chickpeas and rice syrup instead of milk, which ensure the familiar creamy texture and rich taste. Ferrero emphasizes that Nutella Plant-Based is not a compromise, but the result of conscious development that preserves the iconic taste while meeting changing consumer needs.
The launch was preceded by extensive research: according to surveys, consumers are increasingly open to plant-based, more sustainable products. Ferrero aims to offer an alternative to classic Nutella that is also attractive to vegan customers and those with lactose intolerance.
Nutella Plant-Based will first hit shelves in several Western European markets, before gradually being introduced in other countries. According to Ferrero, this marks a new chapter in the brand’s history: Nutella is now also associated with a sustainable and vegan lifestyle.
