NTAK – The biggest digital development of the tourism industry
In 2016, the Hungarian Tourism Agency was one of the first in Europe to recognize that accurate, up-to-date data is needed for data-driven sector management, to support responsible decision-making, for the targeted development of individual sectors, and to increase competitiveness.
From January 1, 2024, tourism enterprises with a net sales revenue between HUF 12-100 million will also be involved in data transmission[/ caption]
The National Tourist Data Information Center, which was launched in 2019, is a digital platform that makes it possible to view in real time the anonymous, traffic statistics of all the country’s accommodations, as well as catering shops and tourist attractions involved in data provision.
By using NTAK data, the market environment can be analyzed, the processes taking place in the sector become understandable, and the various tourism trends become visible, so that the sector can react faster than ever before to external environmental or social changes affecting tourism.
