Nébih withdrew a plant protection product from the market
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) has withdrawn more than 30 kilograms of pesticides considered risky from circulation, the authority informed on Wednesday.
Nébih’s inspectors made a trial purchase of 3.5 kilograms of a plant protection product with Cyrillic letters, without a valid marketing and use permit, from a private individual. The action was followed by an additional inspection in the county of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, the trial purchase led the inspectors to another location, where other plant protection products were also checked.The two investigations ended with the withdrawal of a total of 32 kilograms of plant protection products from circulation, the prohibition of their distribution and use, and their closure.
