The largest network airlines in Europe increased their passenger traffic last year
All three large European network airlines have been able to increase their passenger traffic in 2018, compared to the previous year, while the Lufthansa Group has maintained its leading position on the continent – according to the annual passenger traffic statistics published on the companies’ website.
The German Lufthansa Group, including the Eurowings and Brussels Airlines operating in the discount model, transported a total of 142.3 million passengers, 10 percent more than a year before, with a 0.5 percentage point improvement to 81.4 percent. With this, Lufthansa retained its leading position among the European airline companies as its largest rival, the Irish low-cost Ryanair, transported 139.2 million passengers. (MTI)
