Increased biogas production in the Kaposvár plant of the Magyar Cukor Zrt.
By building a new fermenter, biogas production will be increased further in the Kaposvár plant of the Magyar Cukor Zrt. The equipment will begin to operate when the sugar campaign will start in the autumn – announced the company’s project company, the Biogáz Fejlesztő Kft.
The proposed project costs will be over one billion HUF, half of which will be provided by the EU support that was won in the scope of the EEOP program.
9 million cubic meters of biogas will be produced in the new tank during the 120-day sugar campaign, which would be sufficient to supply the heat demand of a city with a population of 20 thousand. (MTI)
