The number of employees in agriculture can be increased

According to Gőgös Zoltán Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, with the potential use of renewable energy sources in the more and more mechanized, modernizing agriculture, the number of employees can be increased.

The Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, on the conference of Sectoral Dialogue Committee of Agriculture stated that while in 1992 the rate of  workers was 11.4 percent, in 2007 it is only 4.7 percent. According to Gőgös Zoltán, the industry has the capacity to produce both food and bio-energy raw materials at the same time.
However, in order to increase employment it is crucial to increase competitiveness. It is also important thet that the Hungarian laws do not impose a heavier burden on Hungarian citizens than on international competitors. According to independent experts' calculations; unnecessary rules has an additional cost of 600-700 billion HUF per year in the Hungarian economy – reports MTI.
