Growing average wages
KSH’s quick report indicates that the gross average wage grew by 3.1 in January-February 2011. Calculating without the family write-off the net average wage was 4.4 percent higher than a year earlier. 1.826 million people worked at enterprises employing 5 or more people, 2.8 percent more than a year before. 4.7 percent fewer people worked in the budgetary sector for a gross average wage of HUF 198,800; at enterprises the average wage was HUF 210,400. Average wages increased by 6.4 percent in the competitive sector and decreased by 4.9 percent in the budgetary sector.
