The consumption of cheaper wines increases
In the first six months, the quantity of wine purchased for home consumption increased by 5 percent, compared to the same period of the previous year. But the growth has been appeared thanks to the cheaper products – shows the survey of Gfk. Hungária.
Over 18 years, approximately half of the population can be considered to be a wine consumer. On a weekly basis one-fifth of the Hungarian population, consumes wine.
Approximately 50 percent of the opulation do not drink wine. About half of them refuse any alcohol consumption, the rest rejects only the consumtion of wine. Those who has more advanced wine culture, hold a variety of wine at home, appears in the sphere of some essential ingredients in wine consumption like: cheese, chocolate and cigars.
