Dutch company Albert Heijn sees growing demand for vegan products

According to an announcement by the Dutch company Albert Heijn, 44.1% of protein products sold in its stores in 2023 were plant-based, a rise from 42.6% in 2022.

The chain hopes to increase this percentage significantly in the coming years. Albert Heijn wants 50% of the protein sold in its stores to be plant-based by 2025 and 60% by 2030. In order to realise this goal, the retailer plans to expand its AH Terra range. //
