Wet wipe and baby powder sales strengthened
As the Nielsen Retail Index states, baby wipe value sales were up by 2 percent and reached HUF 4 billion last year, while volume sales also gained 1 percent. Baby powder sales increased by 6 percent in value (going above the HUF 300 million threshold) and by 2 percent in volume. 55 percent of wet wipes sold were private label products, but in the baby powder category their share was only 5 percent. Hypermarkets and drugstores sell 75 percent of baby wipes and 47 percent of baby powder.
