German retail closed the Christmas season with increase
According to the preliminary datas of the Association of National Retailers; German retail sales increased by at least 1.5 percent in the Christmas season, compared to a year earlier. According to the survey, about 210 euros were spent by per person for Christmas gifts in the country of 82 million inhabitants.
The 2011 Christmas season started poorly, but due to the consumers delaying the gift purchases for the last several days, revenue increased by at least 1.5 percent, which can be around 78 billion euros according to the Association of National Retailers – reports MTI.
