Prices in the euro area have risen
Consumer prices in the euro area increased year-on-year in November, in line with analysts’ expectations.
Final figures released by the European Union Bureau of Statistics (Eurostat) on Wednesday show that consumer prices in the eurozone of 19 EU countries increased by 1.0 percent year-on-year in December, after the 0.7 percent increase of the previous month. In November last year, the increase was still 1.9 percent.
