L’Oreal sales increase in the third quarter and first nine months
French cosmetics giant L’Oreal’s revenue rose 0.5 percent to 10.34 billion euros in the third quarter of this year compared to the previous year. Comparable revenue rose 4.2 percent, the company’s website said.
Sales of one of the world’s largest cosmetics manufacturers in the professional cosmetics segment increased by 6.1 percent to 1.23 billion euros. Revenues of L’Oreal’s Luxe division, which specializes in luxury cosmetics, fell 1.5 percent to 3.72 billion euros. Revenues of the Dermatological Beauty skin care division increased by 1.1 percent to 1.62 billion euros. Consumer goods sales increased by 0.4 percent to 3.76 billion euros.
L’Oreal’s sales in Europe rose by 4.6 percent, but in North America they fell by 4.3 percent, in Latin America by 3 percent and in North Asia by 0.1 percent.
In the first nine months of this year, the company’s sales increased by 1.2 percent to 32.8 billion euros.
