Card spendings increased in Europe
According to the joint report of Visa Europe and Markit market research company; in the first quarter of 2010, Europe's population spent 9 percent more with card, than in the same period of the previous year.
This means that the Europeans had 230 billion euros transactions with Visa debit, credit and prepaid cards in the last quarter of 2010, compared to the 198 billion euros of the first quarter of 2009. The annual growth rate increased to 16.4 percent from the 11.7 percent recorded in last quarter of 2009 – reports marketinginfo.hu.
