Average monthly wages and retail sales increased in the Czech Republic
In the first quarter of this year, average monthly wages in the Czech Republic rose by 7.2 percent to 37,929 kroons (606,864 HUF), the Czech Statistical Office (CSÚ) said in Prague on Tuesday.
This means that employees received an average of 2,533 crowns (40,528 HUF) more per month than a year ago. However, taking inflation data into account, the average wage in the Czech Republic fell 3.6 percent in the first quarter. The increase in consumer prices in the first three months was 11.2 percent.
